TT. 24 FULL DAY COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK

An 8 hrs. tour heading south of Quito through the avenue of the volcanoes to reach the Cotopaxi National Park where we visit the interpretation center and Limpiopungo lakes (paramo grasslands/Ecuadorian equivalent of the arctic tundra), drive up to 15000 ft and trek up to Padre Rivas mountain climbing refuge (1 1/2 hrs). Stop for lunch at colonial hacienda La Ciénega and return to Quito.

TT. 25 FULL DAY QUILOTOA VOLCANIC LAKE

An approx 10hr tour heading south of Quito, driving through the avenue of the volcanoes, passing by the towns of Latacunga and Pujilí. You will then have the opportunity to visit the town of Tigua, famous for its naive paintings. We continue up to the Quilotoa volcano, where you will be able to descend to the lake located inside the crater. Prepare yourself to enjoy an unforgettable experience ascending but this time on top of a donkey!. We stop for lunch at the colonial hacienda  La Cinema during our return to Quito.

Depending on the day we will visit a market at: Latacunga (Tuesday and Saturday), Pujilí (Wednesday and Sunday) or Saquisilí (Thursday). Stop for lunch at a typical hacienda and continue our trip to Cotopaxi National Park. At the park it we visit Limpiopungo Lake (grasslands/ Ecuadorian equivalent of the arctic tundra) and return to Quito.

Depending on the day we will visit a market at: Latacunga (Tuesday and Saturday), Pujilí (Wednesday and Sunday) or Saquisilí (Thursday). Afternoon at leisure to relax or enjoy the inn facilities. Overnight at: 4* (H. La Ciénega), 5* (suite H. La Ciénega) or 5*+(H. San Agustín). 

Day 2: Morning tour to Cotopaxi National Park. At the park we visit Limpiopungo lake (paramo grasslands/ Ecuadorian equivalent of the arctic tundra), drive up to 15.000 ft and trek up to Padre Rivas mountain climbing refuge (11/2 hr). Stop for box lunch, walk to the glaciers and return to Quito.

TT. 29 BAÑOS DAY TRIP

A 9hr. tour south of Quito, driving through the avenue of the volcanoes, passing by Latacunga and Ambato to stop at Yambo volcanoes crater lake and Salasaca's village (textiles and hand embroidered crafts). We reach Baños (subtropical town), where we visit the cathedral, stop for lunch at downtown Baños and visit the thermal baths. Finally, we continue our trip to Agoyan waterfalls and El Pailon del Diablo (Devils cauldron) waterfalls where we hike for 90 minutes and return to Quito.

Depending on the day we will visit a market at: Latacunga (Tuesday and Saturday), Pujilí (Wednesday and Sunday), Saquisilí (Thursday) or a visit to Cotopaxi National Park. Both include lunch at the inn Rumipamba de las Rosas and a visit to Yambo volcano crater lake. Finally, we arrive to Baños (subtropical thermal baths town). Overnight at: 4* (H. Sangay), 5* (H. Day 2: "Priests and Witches" morning trek to La Cruz (panoramic view of Baños), In Baños we visit the cathedral, the balsawood birds carving workshop, the tagua (ivory nut) jewelry, stop for lunch at a side walk restaurant and visit the thermal baths. Later we continue our trip to Agoyan and Devils cauldron (amazing waterfalls), visit the Salasaca's Indian market and return to Quito.
